Just Recently picked up a used 2007 FJ Cruiser. The dealer gave me two keys and one remote entry fob. What was the actual number keys and fobs with a new 2007 FJ Cruiser? If more than what I was given, should I worry that there is key/fob out there somewhere that someone can open/operate my FJ?
should have 3 keys and 2 fobs, but i wouldn't really worry about that extra fob, yeah it would be nice to have but maybe it was soo worn-out that they just chucked it, or it could have been lost... i don't think that someone would actually find your fj and use it, besides ther are only soo many cominations of those fobs out there anyway, chances are others on this very forum have one that would work anyway...

I just bought mine the other day (new 2007) and I got 3 keys and two fobs. They give you a number so that you can go back to the dealer and order more keys and fobs if you loose them. it was a 6 or 7 digit number. If you're really worried about the extra fob, maybe the dealer has a way to re-program it to a new code.

This is true...this happened to me: there was a new Camry in the parking lot at work parked near my FJ...when I pressed "unlock" on my fob, the Camry (with the same VIP secrity system i guess) chirped "locked." Maybe it was just a weird coincidence, but there was no one else in the parking lot

i have a 08 but i one key with fob and the other might be key fob 2 but i only got 2 keys all i need.

Funny you should ask, because the last couple of vehicles I purchased I had to ask about the additional keys, and the salesperson wasn't sure and "had to check", and ta-da, extra key and fob (seriously, he acted like he never sold a car that had TWO keys). Later when I was told that a replacement fob for my Ford would be $300, I started to wonder is a scam was going on...
