some newbie questions

hey yall i just got my fj today and i love it!! i got the voodoo blue with the upgraded sound system and sub, and its got the full time 4 wheel drive rear diff lock, and a-trac, and its the manuel 6 speed. I think its pretty much fully loaded but its an 07. i have a couple of questions. One is what is the biggest tire you can fit under the fj on the stock rims? i think i might get some bf goodwrench all terrains but i dont know for sure right now. i was also wondering what upgrades you would suggest for it i have practically no money and im in high school. (im a dishwasher at a local resturant, minimum wage).i would just like some general advice from the pros. all help is appreciated thanks.

Drive It Enjoy! You got the upgrade package two? A-Trac and Locker, sweet! If you want bigger tires you should have the frame cut and spacers to fit 33"s Good luck and congrats! And Yes I had to save awhile for all the goodies.

Re: some newbie questions

Lucky! I wish I had a car as cool as the FJ in high school!

I'm no pro, but as for upgrades, it depends on what you plan to do with it. Going off-road? Suspension lift + tires are an essential first upgrade...but it's not cheap...That's my 2 cents.

Congratulations on your new FJ! Enjoy!

Congrats and Welcome Aboard!

Go to top of page and click on user CP, you will see edit signature.

As far as leveling it I don't think the deralership can do this. But there are lots of good info on here that you may find useful. Keep us posted and ask all the questions you want.

Re: some newbie questions

DO NOT level the FJ!!!!! It is lower in the front to increase fuel mileage. It makes the FJ computer think it's running downhill and adds about 5 mpg.

fj man,

Congrats on your new truck! Take care of it, it will take care of you.

Since you're in high school, we anticipate lots of attention from the girls! You're so golden.
