Re: New Guy Seeking Advise

I couldn't be any happier with my FJ! I also like the fact that if I see a trail off a highway I can go check it out(as long as it's ok) and not worry about tearing it up.

Pull the trigger and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Thats my point exactly, just being able to go when I want to go haha! I also love how many mods are out there for the FJC...

And if I have any questions, there are people here that can answer almost anything relating to the rig!

This is why I bought it too! Go basically anywhere (within reason), whenever. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the ability of the stock vehicle alone. I'm confident a couple trail rides will give you the feel for what you need.

That's the best thing about this place

Re: New Guy Seeking Advise

Welcome and good luck in getting the FJ you want at a good price.
You have quite a list of mods, it should keep you busy.
I look forward to seeing your build up.
Good Luck,

I plan on doing about 90% city driving and 10% offroad. Im from KY, just living out here in So Cal with my 5 year old son.
Looks like you've gotten the advice you were looking for.

Plan is the key word above, I seriously doubt 10% is all you'll be doing off-road, you're from KY it's in your blood, I am a proud redneck and I enjoy nothing more than tearing ass up a trail, once you get the FJ and take it out you'll see what I am talking about.

Welcome and enjoy it!

Re: New Guy Seeking Advise

I say get a stripped 4x4 with a rear locker and the convenience package. You can do everything else yourself. I missed the rear locker!
