If it has the TRD exhaust, which I would think it would. At least thats what the catalog says. Which begs a question:
Does anyone have any experience with the TRD exhaust for the FJ. Is the sound OK? Horsepower noticeable?
Man...I'm so freakin hung over my joints are achy
You can get the TRD exhaust on any FJ, it's an option. Does not need to be a TRD edition FJ. Run a search and you will find out many, many opinions of the TRD catback system.

What are the technical benefits to the TRD exhaust? Presumably, te TRD edition also has a TRD intake?
No the TRD intake is not an option, all FJ's have the same intake. as for the exhaust, it is less restrictive than the stock option and is a bit louder than also.

The worst part about either exhaust is that the tailpipe goes out too far. The dealer said it's some legal obligation... cabin won't fill up with fumes, but that didn't stop me from hacksaw surgery and getting it out of the way... after backing up a steep hill and kinking it 90 degrees.
It is now tucked up with the rear axle and still works great.

I did the same thing.. Screw it right?. I had a carbon monoxide detector plugged into the rear power supply for a week to see if fumes would enter the cabin.... Nothing gets in there.
The High mount exhaust is a waste of money, just hack the thing. As far as the TRD. YOu could hack that one too :-)
