Re: lucrum winch

Viking: In case you haven't seen it yet, here's my response to your PM. Decided to make it public, since the info may be useful to others as well.

i saw you tread on the fuel tank auxillary and saw that you have a lucrum winch mount and a warn winch, iam thinking about doing the same with a warn 95ti thermometric winch but iam worried about the front end sagging. iam writting you to see if you have noticed this problem or if the winch has effected anything on your fj
The combined weight of the Lucrum mount and Warn M8000 which is about 140 lbs and my fog lights were and still are mounted on the bumper cover. I have not noticed any sagging and did not have to readjust the fog lights after installation of the winch mount & winch combo, which proves the point.

Don't know how much the 9.5ti weighs, but I don't think it's much more than the M8000. FWIW, I'd be more worried about having adequate space for the winch housing under the bumper cover than the weight. Check w/Lucrum about that.

Good luck w/your installation!

I like the looks of the lucrum, keeping to the stock look I prefer I will go with this application. Give me a run down of all winches that will be compatable with your product? I hope there is some tech support when there is a problem with the install. Like I said show me the value against another competitor and I will purchase and spread the word of a great product you sell! I have been burned before and twice bitten! SO PLEASE RESPOND! Iwill purchase with someone else who cares, You want my Buisness? Prove it and respond to me WHEN you read this! There is alot of fish in the sea and I will go with a company who is honest and transparent!
Wow sorry it sounds like you have not had much luck with some other companies.

To answer your first question the only winch that does not work with the mount that we know about is the Husky brand winches. They do not work because of the motor being mounted below the winch and at 90degrees to the spool. They are a odd configuration and I dont know what bumper they work with to be honest. A second winch that does work with our mount but not the bumper cover is the warn power plant winches. They fit in the mount fine and install fine to. But the are about 2 inches to tall to clear the bumper cover once you put it back on. I have seen a couple of posts of people who did install these and DID choose to cut there bumper but we dont recommend it.

Also we do have tech support in fact we provide support for all of our products regardless of who has it or who bought it. We have a lifetime warranty on our winch mount that covers the mount regardless of who paid for it who has it or whatever so you are always covered should our product ever fail you.

Again sorry you have had bad experiences with other companies, if people dont take care of you I am a big advocate in letting others know about it! ha ha!

Thanks for the feedback. The winch will fit fine and that was a good thing to think of.

Sorry,I'm not addressing my anger towards you, or the Lucrum products! I called several truck shops around here and no one in this area has installed this on the Fjc and they try and steer me to something more familiar to them or their favored products, full bumper and extra large 12000lb winch. Like I said the product (Lucrum) winch bumper is what I have decided on,and most who have them love them! I'm worried now that no one locally has done this, so I'm thinkin of doing the Install myself. I will look around in this forum for detailed instruction to see if I can do myself! Again, sorry if I sounded testi, some people Don't have the customer service mentality in this region !

Re: lucrum winch

The instructions are pretty easy. I have yet to install mine, but I have read over them again and again

Starting on page 30 or so of this thread, people have put up pics and personal experiences.

LUCRUM MOUNT, here it is, Group Buy!

Re: lucrum winch

I pruchased a lucram mount, forgot the name of it until I saw this thread. First, I spoke to one of the gentlemen at the Lucrum company via email and I can't remember, but I think they even called after I had a question. I purchased the mount right after I bough the FJ. I must confess that I was VERY impressed on the whole thing, and wish I could have bought more stuff from them.
The shipping was quick and well packed
The customer service was very good, and the person who I spoke to was very helpfull and friendly
The bumper was very easy to install, took only a few minutes using the directions. I had to cut out the black plastic peice in the center of the bottom of the bumper- (didn't seem to hurt anything)
I installed a ramsey 9500, got a good deal on ebay. It fit well, as advertised by the lucrum folks. I was very surprised, as the winch seemed very large. I had to lightly bend one of the tranny cooler lines in order to keep it off of the drivers side portion of the winch. (very light, very small amount of moving.)
I also put the synthetic rope on it (great stuff)
I have put several miles on it cross country and I think the rear actually sags now (towing a trailer) Very very happy with the mount.
Also, it is a very neat product to keep the stock look and a light alternative to other bumpers. I have been wanted to complement them on the bumper for months, and havn't been able too.
