2) I want a little better sound out of the stereo, has anyone had success replacing the stock speakers? If so, did you replace all or just a few? I didn't want to pay for the Convenience package with the upgraded stereo now I'm wondering if that was a mistake.
Welcome! I'm sure you'll find tons of info here as well ...

As for wondering if it's a mistake. I wouldn't call it a mistake, if anything I'd say your a smart for avoiding it! I only say that because I can tell very little difference between the music when my subwoofer is turned on/off. I know there is a company that created a jbl sub that fits into the stock position, and I know that the cables are there for the stock sub to be installed, you just have to pony up the extra $$$ to get it.

Just my .02$

Welcome Again!

Re: Excited New FJ Owner Needs Assistance

I got few blems, haks to jelous people, I came out of staples,I had parked in the handi cap spot d the curb was 2 1/2 feet next to my car,Some jelous bast
terd head took there cart and jamed it between the curb and the FJ and forced it from the back of my car to the front putting a scratch along the entire FJ,I was so pissed,I would have rubbed there face into the ground f I caught them. Now even in my drive way one of the local assOs id anoutheron the outher side,I hate living here anymore. Now I put a sensor that will trip my alarm if you go near it.If you do this make sure to add a cut off switch, because ou will find times when its not needed and can be a disturbance. Now my latest problem,There was a mistake on the measurements in the instructions for my light bar so now I have to live with a gap on both nds,I filled them with black silicone, but now I have to make more brackets to hold it better.I gave the guy who sold it to me a yelling.
They send you stupid dark photo copy instruction that are incorrect.
got my roof panted 900.00 bucks and I aint to happy with this either.
Time for me to stop, buying from ebay.Every item out of the last 6 had problems. If my pics come out you can see my lights and how I mounted the switches for them.I used the blanks in order not to make holes in the dash. The factory switches can be used later if I hit the lottery

Re: Excited New FJ Owner Needs Assistance

Welcome aboard, as far as your second question goes I'm glad I bought it with the upgraded stereo system. I guess it depends on what kind of music you listen to but the sub makes a world of difference to me.
