Re: New Member: no FJ yet...

Not all women are as good as these FJ women.

My girl, last year at the off-road course at the Auto Show. "Why is the line twice as long for such an ugly car" I told her its because its the coolest one, she disagreed. Then I let some lady in front of lecture her on how it was the coolest thing at the auto show.

All last year she tried to get me to change my mind.

When I got it I went to go pick her up, she said she was embarrased to ride in it.

After a couple of weeks she said it was growing on her but still did not like it.

I still get minor complaints but its mine and its my money.
She does not understand why people give compliment me on my FJ.

She does not like driving it because of the blind spots

Get it yourself if your paying for it is my advice, the test drive could hurt you or help you why take a chance.

Re: New Member: no FJ yet...

Ah yes same thing happened to me at the auto show this year. There was an SE FJ there and you could not get close to it. She did not understand what the fuss was about. I've got a little convincing to do... But one good thing is that when we looked at Jeeps she said she preferred the FJ.

Re: New Member: no FJ yet...

Just get it, and she will like, dont tell her how much your spending on mods or she will hate it more.

She did like the center console I got. (Tuffy)

The economy on a downward slide isn't helping much.

I am not a dream killer... I said "Keep Dreaming." That statement does not a dream killer make.

Re: New Member: no FJ yet...

Well I'm in the same boat and my wife finally agreed that we will be getting an FJ.
I took her for a test drive in the TT edition and she liked it.

I mentioned something about a blind spot and she said that she liked the way the mirrors were very long vertically and she could almost see the curb when turning a sharp corner.

Her only complaint was she liked the other flashy colors more... and she's getting sick of me talking about it, reading forums about it, watching youtube about it, blah, blah, blah.

Right now we're in the saving up stage (gonna throw a chunk down on it to keep the payments low)

Show your lady your excitement, include her in the test drive, get her to drive it, and she may just suck it up and let you buy it simply because you love it so much

Never hurts to tell her how sexy she looks in it either

Good luck my man,
B
