My experience agrees with what the others have said, to a point. It's all about the dealer/service writer in the beginning and Toyota will have to prove a warranty denial. What they can and often will do is deny the claim and let your vehicle sit untouched. If they do this, the burden of proof will shift to you. My entire family worked in the industry for over thirty years and I've seen it happen many times; it's happened to me as well. If you can afford to let the vehicle sit, hire a lawyer and take them to court... most of the time you'll win.. If you're just the average Joe that has to drive it to work tomorrow and they deny your claim, you'll have a little higher VISA bill next month. Sad, but true.
Also, all of us that do our own service are at risk as well. If/when we are ever denied warranty we'd better have receipts, photos, everything. They don't like us anyhow, because we don't pay them to do our service. A Toyota dealership will make more money from servicing your truck than by selling it.. way more.. Ron

Ok just wondering if anything like a suspension lift or something like exhaust or headers /intake, anyhting of that nature would void the powertrain warranty the fj comes with?
