3 Simple Questions

Three stupid questions.

1. Can you add parking sensors later?
2. What is ATRAC and what does it do?
3. What is a locking rear differential?

Thank you.

1. yes. all fj's are prewired with the same wiring harnesses
2. atrac is active traction control, used in low range four wheel drive, uses abs to lock spinning wheels to provide torque to wheels with traction
3. locking diff is a way to control wheel spin in the rear, locks the drive between the two rear wheels so they do not independantly spin.

If the dealer does not know what Locking Diff is, how do you check, and is it possible to add on later?

(I'm interested in off-roading in the future)

If the dealer doesnt know, deal with someone else. Do not settle for working with someone who does not know the vehicle.

No, not ALL 4x4's come with the locker. An 'Offroad package' of 'Convenience package' i bleieve is required. It should be noted on the window sticker. You can add one later, such as an ARB locker, you are talking big $$.
