The Fuel Cap~!

Just bought my FJ today, and I so happy about it. But I'm just wondering did any of you guys realized the Fuel cap doesn't have a lock? I mean even though you lock the FJ, but it's still possible to open the fuel door and access the fuel cap.... Is that possible to change the cap? or any of you guys have a better idea?

Buy a lockable fuel cap at any auto parts store.

Re: The Fuel Cap~!

I believe Stant makes one for the FJ. In Canada you can now get one from the Toyota stealership. Dont's know the price but in Canada it would be $1000 dollars.

Yup. And we still pay more for everything in the great white north. Taxes are a killer here.

Re: The Fuel Cap~!

I manage an auto parts store. Any lockable cap can be opened with a screwdriver. Save your money.

Re: The Fuel Cap~!

I bought the locking gas cap from Stant. $14 and peace of mind. Its not a guarantee that nobody is gonna mess with your tank, but definitely a deterrent.

cgbrocksmith, you can also pry open a locking fuel door with a screwdriver.
