Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money

I meet kylecruiser this weekend in Harlan and the first thing he said was that he was second guessing his decision to buy the tt. Same as above when you get it out the odds are good you will become addticted and want to upgrade. All the extras will be the first to go. If you really think that you wont go wheelin' very often the I would say to buy it. The only problem is wheelin' is worst than crack and just as expensive.
Ah yes, there's the rub. Love my TT, and justified it on my well-thought-out rationale that it came complete for my specific needs. Although it's insanely capable out of the box, you wheel it a few times, and then you want more. Even the stereo, which I love, is gonna go.

The upside is, no matter what kind of FJ you own, a quality modification will likely make this great vehicle only greater. In other words (or at least I keep telling myself this), the FJ is worth it

Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money

I got the TT model because I liked what it came with and the colors. It's also more unique. I've only seen 1 other on the streets. Re-sale value should be better as well. I paid 29k for mine and it wasn't easy to find. I was offered other models but prices were similar to the TT. I would have waited to see what is offered in 2009 had I not been able to get this one.

Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money

For me the TT was well worth the extra money. As someone who is new to four wheeling, I am not familiar with all of the modification options and what mods I should spend money on and which ones I can do without. I took my TT out on the trail this past weekend for the first time. I was amazed at its capabilities. I was also pleasantly suprised by the strength of the sliders and skid plates. Both took significant hits, that didn't result in any damage. In addition, the all white color scheme hides the pin striping remarkable well.

As I get more familiar with four wheeling and with the FJ itself, I am sure that I will want upgrades on some of the equipment, but for now, it is way more ready for the trail than I am.

On the road, the TT is comfortable, the ride is smooth, the stereo rocks and the TRD exhaust sounds cool! I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Two mods I will add ASAP: 3 inch lift and a tow package

Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money

if you like the tt and want to do BOLT ON mods you can always keep the original parts and reassemble for resale IF you really want to.the mods then can be resold. if you trade it in they(dealer) are likely to give you next to nothing for it with the mods on,keep in mind you will lose a few bucks.just my 0.2 worth
