Wet Okole

I've seen lots of discussion about these seat covers. What's with them that makes them so popular?

Re: Wet Okole

I'm curious too...

I've perhaps read a bit more but would like some testimonial from customers...

1. They say they are waterproof... so I guess they don't breathe that well? How is it for longer trips? Do you get the ol' sweaty a$$??

2. Long-term... just how long do they last? How long have people owned them with no major visible defects showing?

Thankya,
B

Re: Wet Okole

Wet Okole seat covers are made of neoprene (wet suit material). They are very durable and easy to clean. You can just take them off the seat and rinse them out and they dry quickly. They have about 1/2 inch of foam on them and can be ordered with an inflatable lower back rest. The best thing about them are their looks! They fit great and you can order what you want on them. Oh yea, they breathe just fine..... no wet A$$.

You can order them at Car Seat Covers by Wet Okole Hawaii. The cost varies depending on your choices (piping or not, front, back or both, lumbar supports, seatback pockets.) I was able to get in on the 2nd group buy last year and with the 20% off it totaled roughly $500 for my setup. That means that it would run just over $600 without the discount. I have the standard (no piping), seatback pockets on both seats, and lumbar supports on both seats.

I love mine and seriously think they are one of the best things I have spent that amount of money on. I drive about 2000 miles a month for work and the Okoles definitely make my ride a lot more comfortable.

I had a similar issue with "piling" of my seats where the velcro from my pockets (Army ACU cargo pockets secure with velcro) and that was the main reason I bought these seat covers.

They now have several thousand miles on them and have NO issues. I ordered mine directly from Wet Okole and if I remember correctly, the price varies with the options you choose.

I can not reccomend these sea covers enough...I just wish I had bought them sooner!

Re: Wet Okole

They do breathe, air molecules are smaller that water molecules. No to mention neoprene doesn't transfer heat well, so the seat doesn't get hot from you sitting on it. It will get warm but not hot. Also in the winter they don't get icy cold either. I love mine, they also add a nice bit of cushion to the seat as well. The reason they are popular is they are well made, custom cut for your vehicle model and quality materials. One of the best investments I made.

Re: Wet Okole

Thoughts on how they would be with heated seats. I would like to put heated seat kits in. Anyone have these i know people have talked a bunch on here about them? KiltedBishop do you think you would get the benefit of the kit since you said they don't transfer heat good.
