New Guy Here

I am not here to advertise my company, yet...I am here for input from the FJ owners that use these vehicles everyday. We have a bumper available now that seems to have gotten some bad publicity. I guess its to big, but we wanted to fit a 16.5K winch inside it and couldn't without the size. Anyway, we are going to re-design the bumper with all of your inputs. We will also have the rear available, built with your input. Please post ideas and pictures in this thread, and when we get enough, we will compile everything for the re-design...here is the one we have now...

Re: New Guy Here

To all the admins, please don't delete this. I truely want input from the owners, this isn't a publicity stunt. If all goes well, we will be sure to actively advertise with you...we just need a bumper to sell before we can spend the money on advertising. I will not post any contact info, or post the company name anywhere until we are done with the new bumper and have a vendor status.

Re: New Guy Here

How much does that monster weight ? It probably doesn't need a winch that big (16.5K) for most forum members. Anywhere from 8-12K seems to be the range. A smaller winch could cut down on the size of the bumper top to bottom. To me the bottom of the bumper seems to be were a lot of the size is coming from.

Re: New Guy Here

We planned on doing a 9k - 10k winch in the new bumper, and yes, thats where the larger bottom comes into play, for the 16.5k..weights not the issue, its only 140lbs before lights and winch.

Re: New Guy Here

140 lbs. isn't that bad before lights and winch. I believe some are even more than that. Would it be possible to kind of tuck the bottom in a bit. Hope you can visualize what I mean. I'm sure you will get a lot more good feedback on the bumper. It is about 3:30 am were I am and not to many people are alive at this time.

Re: New Guy Here

I do know what you are saying, but the whole purpose of that is a skid plate to protect the cross members from damage, but if you all feel its better exposed, I can pull it up a little

Yes, I see what you mean about the skid plate protection. Better really to have the protection. I'll keep thinking about this. Right now my brain is half asleep.

Im going to check back on here tomorrow night, and I'll post up a few more angles of the bumper for people to see...Hopefully we can produce a bumper that's to everyone's liking...

I'll bet by tonight you'll have a lot of good feedback. A good side shot and a full frontal shot would be great. Along with the first pic and that should do it. Maybe a little closer on these shots would be good also.
