Out of space, where to put rotopax & Hilift

HI everyone,

Delayed a bit in putting new thread up. I finally have my storage about 90% figured out..till I buy something else

The issue I have is where to put my 2 - 4 gallon rotopax containers and the hi lift jack. I want to keep everything as stock as possible and don't want a bumper that swings as it's one additional item I would have to deal with every time I wanted to get in the rear of the vehicle.

I have a warrior rack and bought the hi light braces but where they are supposed to go would have caused the roof top tent to lean (nope). Was debating to remove most of the brace, except for the threads and enough metal and would weld them to the front of the warrior rack and set the hi-light at the front of the rack.

For the rotopax, I saw a mounting system that goes behind the spare tire but don't like getting rid of the windshield wiper and also have the back up camera through the spare.

Wondering if anyone has thoughts on the best way to store those items. Few photos below showing what I'm bringing (including the table and chair shown.)

As always, I greatly appreciate any and all help.
And since I'm a true noob and the photos won't show here, attaching the links to view them, sorry about that.

Re: Out of space, where to put rotopax & Hilift

That's the one I saw but would have to remove the rear windshield wiper and drill an additional hole for the back up camera. It is so close to what I'm looking for and thought it could be modified to carry the hi lift jack as well. I did talk to Joe (gentleman that makes them and he said the a swing out bumper would be best for rotopax and jack).

Thinking I may just have to pull the trigger on the one shown and then modify as necessary.

I went with expedition one swingout and installed can holder. There are other bumpers out there like metal tech, etc.

Not that I like it but this one mounted it under the rear of the vehicle.

Now that's a nice pack job You might want to invest in a small trailer for your fuel and hi lift

Re: Out of space, where to put rotopax & Hilift

My RTT (Maggiolina Grand Tour) came with provisions for mounting yakima style crossbars. I use it for surfboards and kayaks, however I imagine you could do a similar setup by adding on side gutter mounts. The only concern would be reaching up there, but fuel probably doesn't require frequent access and I'm able to reach the top with relative ease by standing on stickout rock rails, being 6'4" helps also.

Re: Out of space, where to put rotopax & Hilift

One idea is to purchase two of the rotopax L shaped mounting brackets, mount then right behind your Rtt bolted to the rack. You could then mount the rotopax behind the RTT in a vertical position. (Lengthwise of course).
Best option, buy a spare gas tank.....
