I was in the same boat as you are I was going to get a small trailer but to save some money I went with a Hitch basket from Rola and a bag to go on it. It has more then enough room I was able to get a cooler a tote and a bunch of other things iin it /on it the only problem is it dont swing away you have to remove it open the back up.

I ended up ordering the ROLA Swing Away Cargo Carrier w/ anti-rattle hitch lock. I'll let you know how it goes after the install and maiden voyage!

I have the cargo rack in the the link below and I'm concerned about the heat from the exhaust as someone posted earlier. In case the link doesn't work, it's a 24x60 metal mesh rack that fits into the rear 2" receiver. We are heading down to Hatteras, NC from NJ in a coulple of weeks and I was planning on using it to hold coolers. Has anyone heard any more on this subject?
