Normally a good wiggle will do it.. Otherwise, I'm not at all sure what the problems could be. Ron

Re: Why won't my tires come off???

You may have some corrosion between the rim and the brake caliper. If you have after market rims mke sure the center bore on the rim is not just slightly too small and they torqued them on. A good whack with a mallet should get em off.

Re: Why won't my tires come off???

Aluminum expands and contracts quite a bit with heat and cold. It can do all sorts of weird things. Usually in a cold Chicago winter, alloy wheels will be fused on and no matter how hard you kick they won't come off. This time of year should not be an issue with that, but I thought I would throw it out there.

I have the TRD rims and my fronts are a beetch to get off, the rim gets corrosion around the hub. I rotate my tires every 5000 miles and sand down around the hub clean it and put some never seize on and it helps.

Re: Why won't my tires come off???

My factory rims would stick a lot as well. A couple of good alternating smacks on opposite sides of the tire would usually free the rim. I too was amazed at how tight they were. It was a normal thing for mine every time I swapped rims. Good luck.

Re: Why won't my tires come off???

I get nervous beating the wheel/tire while the truck is in the air, so I normally remove all the lugs then thread them back on about 4 or 5 turns then drive the truck back and fourth a couple of times a few feet, very slowly and softly then jack her up and they fall right off..

Use a sledge hammer to tap the tire with. That will break them loose.

It's not worth doing if you can't drop some f-bombs along the way!
