No Luck on TT A\T shifter

Tried to order one got DENIED!!

I'm not gonna give up, I'll try and see what other dealerships Parts department guys say. Maybe I'll find a cool one who will actuallty try ordering it.

Anyone had any luck yet ??

it's believed that if you don't own either a trd se or a ttse they will not allow you to purchase certain parts unless you are an owner of one of these particular vehicles.i'm not sure but i think they will need a VIN to allow the purchase.

Yeah thats what they told me, they said they couldn't order or sell a SE part because Toyota didn't want people cloning the trd's ot TT's.

Why is it theat you can buy the TRD rims then ?

Yeah no kidding, Still not gonna give up, There are a lot of dealers around here. One of them has to be clueless and order it for me

generally the parts guys are up on this kind of thing toyota also does this for a few of thier other special editions.good luck anyway!

I saw a set of shifters (AT and TCase) from a TT on ebay today.

First Toyota wants the truck there to sell you the parts. It's not a special truck other than a few black parts. I don't know why they care?
