It"s Official

you all probably know me as the annoying guy who wants a set of TT A/T shifters (Still no luck on that )

BUT....It's official I finally took ownership of my new Silver FJ package C this weekend and it is AMAZING!!!

I couldn't be happier!!!

I live in a court so when I pulled in with it a lot of my neighbors were outside because it was a nice summer day ( not gonna have much of those left ) I pulled into my drive way and they all came over throwing questions in my direction: "What is this" "that's huge" "I've never seen anything like that" i"t looks like a tonka truck" "Is that a hummer?" "WOW how big are those tires ?"

I couldn't stop laughing They were all over it, they loved the suicide doors and the roof rack!!

My 3 year old nephew can't get enough of it!!

I am very pleased but of course they all had to ask, "So hows this tihng on GAS!! I said who cares

Couldn't be happier and thanks for putting up with the noob who STILL wants TT shifters

Re: It"s Official

Yes I made them sweat since I was not in any kind of hurry, I ended up saving over 5 grand because I was patient and didn't rush into anything, I went to the dealership 6 times and left everytime until they matched my offer on my tradrein and came to the price i was willing to pay on the truck.

Now I'm driving around in what i should have bought in the first place for way under half the cost of brand new.....Good Times!!

Thanks to all who helped me with any noob questions I had or just letting me vent flame free

NBFJCruz and Newfiefjtt (sp?) you guys Rock!!

Re: It"s Official

congrats on the titainium fj italia1 you'll really enjoy your new off-road monster.as you know that dealing with sales persons is a pain, they are trying to make a living in tough times but bargaining hard and getting the best deal to suit your needs and budget are what is most important for you.now get out there and get it dirty for the record i took my fj up to the cottage in the timmins area for the long weekendand had a blast with my nephew and his girl friend they were amazed at what it can do and the kind of fun that you can havethanks for the compliment, there are lots of people on the forums willing to help you and now that you have one sitting in the driveway youre going to want to mod itso don't hesitate to ask.

Re: It"s Official

Thanks everyone, I absolutely have no regrets, and I don't want to get into a whole thing about the stupid premium fuel sticker on the fuel door but I filled up with Regular 87octane today because of all the threads I have read on here saying it was ok.

Is it still ok to use 87 or have things changed? I can't remember how old the threads were or if I heard from any canadains about what there using but just looking for some reassurance that 87 is ok.

Thanks again guys and I have been hitting the MOD threads like crazy but don't know what to do first, I did add the sport pedals (I had them in the Gti, got used to them) and exhaust tip from Toyota but thats it
