2009 Black Color Pics?

Hey guys,

I'm debating whether to purchase a 2008 FJ for a good price or wait until the 2009 comes out. One of the big considerations is the color. I heard that the 2009 will have a nonmetallic black color. Is that true? any pics so far? By nonmetallic black is it matte?

There are not any picts yet from Toyota. The black will be a glossy black but no metal flake at all.. Just plain black..

Probably not, just non-metallic, ie: no metal flake - just a gloss finish such as in the current Sun Fusion (Yellow) or Voodoo Blue.

Toyota's Webiste though, still refers to the black as "Black Diamond," implying the paint would/might be the same, ie: a metallic finish.

Re: 2009 Black Color Pics?

Are they at least offering an option to black out the top?

Re: 2009 Black Color Pics?

I was put in a similar situation when i got my car, and it all depends if you are planning on selling the car anytime soon. As for the color, the only solid colored fjs that came out (same color top) are the TRD Special Editions Good Luck

Re: 2009 Black Color Pics?

Nothing really that special with the new black other than not having metallic flakes. It's just gonna be regular black, which might make it easier to touch up if scratched.
