not a black wheel fan here . need contrast from the tire. billet aluminum my favorite. i also understand the ease of a steel wheel. to each thier own though. any wheel on a modified ride looks good.

Always bet on black! HAHAHA But seriously for me I like the look and ease of maintenance. I have had alloys and chrome in the past. I rather spend time modding or wheeling than cleaning my wheels.

I don't care for the steelies myself...but I do realize that most run them so they're not worrying about trashing the alloys or chrome if they actually go wheelin.

As for mine..they're black with steel accents... ties in all the silver (handles and mirrors) on my black cherry

I don't care if they were chrome, alum' or whatever
really, I would beat them the same, the only reason
I have the steels is for my second set of tires...

I have always had a spare set of tires for any offroad
vehicle I have owned, since it's hard to check for
problems with swampers on... I just switch to my
alum's with streetable tires to do a maintenance check
at times...

When I got my wheels, I talked to one of the dealers and he said that there is an overall shift in the market.. People are wanting black more than the chromes because of maintenence of the chrome. Black hides brake dust better. Just wash off and your good.

I really tend to agree with his statement.. I love black rims on a car or truck.. I think while they look good they don't 'take away' from the overall appearance of the vehicle. Take mine for example your focus is on the blue, then you look at the black parts of the FJ. Just my 0.02 worth...

Looks good! what tire size you running on the stock 16"s?? I currently have steelies but i like having more tire options for 16"s. I am looking for the same wheels for a good price (i am thinking around $350???). Where did you find yours and what did you pay? Thanks
