Re: backdoor rattle

You folks with the rattlers might have gotten the ones that they hid the gold bars in.

Thumbs up Re: backdoor rattle

okay I bought some white lithium grease today and opened up the drivers side rear suicide door and sprayed the bottom latch and............drum roll please........no more rattle!!!!!!!! an easy fix at $3.25 a can. I highly recommmend anyone else having this problem to attempt that first before spending hours at the dealership.

Talking Re: backdoor rattle

No self fixing for me.. I took it to the dealership and they fixed the noise problem altogether.. once again my problem was that there was a rattling noise going over bumps coming from the driver side back door or the middle console where the two doors meet.

According to them they opened up the back door and tightened something that was loose in there.. good luck with yours..

Its the knob on the stereo. Turn clockwise until rattle goes away.

Re: backdoor rattle

I had the exact same rattle issue that came from the rear right seat back. Put a little grease on the metal anchor and the annoying rattle is now gone!

You could have just loosened the striker and slid it in a bit and cinched it back down. The bolts are in slots with blind nuts, to adjust for door rattle.

Well that sounds like a better plan. Only problem is I dunno what a striker/blind nuts are Does it mean I should be moving the Ubolts, rather than screwing around with making them thicker...

Re: backdoor rattle

The rattling for me was the license plate being a little bit too loose. I just tightened it up, and voila! It was gone.

Re: backdoor rattle

I've had this problem since day one.Rattle over my left shoulder inside the rear door or at the latch area.Only happens when I go over a fairly large bump.If the rear door had a roll down window I would think the window track was loose.I think it is the seat belt mechanism inside the rear door. Not enough of a problem to bother with...
