Re: backdoor rattle

Dynamat takes care of most rattles, let's face it, this is essentially a tin can in comparison to the boats out there.

Well that sounds like a better plan. Only problem is I dunno what a striker/blind nuts are Does it mean I should be moving the Ubolts, rather than screwing around with making them thicker...
Yes.

You can loosen the bolts attaching the upside down U shaped device which the door latches to (the striker) and then slide the striker inboard slightly and retorque the bolts. The striker bolts are mounted in slot shaped holes, and have nuts on the back which do not need to be held with a wrench, because they slide in a trough that keeps them from rotating (I think )

Re: backdoor rattle

emachines!!!!! YOU DA MAN!!!!

Been having similar rattling noises high above the seat belt tensioner (driver's side ) whenever I go over larger bumps, and since March the rattle has been getting worse! I took your advice bought some teflon plumbers tape and wrapped just the upper U-Bolt and wala!!! no more rattle!!!!

when I have the time I'll try readjusting that bolt, but for now I'm in nirvana!! NO MORE RATTLES!!!

thanks a mil!
