Re: What is this button do?

That button activates the GPS sensor for the laser guided missile that is tracking you.

Re: What is this button do?

I've got one too. How do you know if it's active or not?! It doesn't stay pushed in, and there are no idicator lights that I've seen to know what state it is currently in...

Push the button, leave your window open, arm your alarm and stick you arm in. If the alarm goes off, then it is not off...pretty easy way to test.

Thats supposed to be an EASY way to test? I'm supposed to spend 2 minutes doing that any time I park it in a parking lot?

I did test it the other day. Got inside and hit the lock button, waited for it to arm, then moved around and it went off. I still think there should be some kind of indicator when you push the button.

Also, I don't have a pet so I doubt i'll ever want to deactivate the interior protection, I just want to understand it.

I'm not a 100% on this, but I thinks it has to do with the alarm in the car. I think it disables part of the alarm. For example: you can hit that button, leave your dog in the car and the dog will not set off the alarm.
Cool. Can I get that retro'd into my '07? It has an alarm but I did not see that button in mine. That spot has a blank.

Thanks,

Mike

1. Thanks for the help on these embarrasing few questions. I actually read he manual last night, more like skimming through it..but I can't figure out what this button does. It's the button with the pic of a car and three circular waves coming though the roof and the word OFF. The used car sales rep did not know either but asked me to look in the manual.

I could be wrong, but isn't that the switch that operates the Flux Capacitor?

Or possibly it activates some sort of defense system to prevent aliens from sucking you up into their ship with a tractor beam...
