What is this button do?

1. Thanks for the help on these embarrasing few questions. I actually read he manual last night, more like skimming through it..but I can't figure out what this button does. It's the button with the pic of a car and three circular waves coming though the roof and the word OFF. The used car sales rep did not know either but asked me to look in the manual.

2. What octane range are ya'll running on your fuel? I've been running the cheapest grade but I think the manual told me differently?

Re: What is this button do?

What year is your FJ? I think that the mystery button probably turns off the speakers in the headliner.

Re: What is this button do?

FWIW, I have been running regular 87 octane through my fj for 2 years with out a problem.

I'm not a 100% on this, but I thinks it has to do with the alarm in the car. I think it disables part of the alarm. For example: you can hit that button, leave your dog in the car and the dog will not set off the alarm.

Re: What is this button do?

you dont have to run 91 but the manual rec it to reach max HP as per specs in you manual. running lower octane decrease HP and performance.

Re: What is this button do?

Thanks a bunch! It's a 2007. I just went out at lunch and stared at my FJ like father looking at a newborn. Then I laughed at myself. It's been such a long time since I have owned another vehicle.

I know what you what you mean. My ride is over 2 years / damn near 50,000 miles and I still turn to catch a glimpse of her every time I walk away.
