1. Thanks for the help on these embarrasing few questions. I actually read he manual last night, more like skimming through it..but I can't figure out what this button does. It's the button with the pic of a car and three circular waves coming though the roof and the word OFF. The used car sales rep did not know either but asked me to look in the manual.
2. What octane range are ya'll running on your fuel? I've been running the cheapest grade but I think the manual told me differently?
FWIW, I have been running regular 87 octane through my fj for 2 years with out a problem.
I'm not a 100% on this, but I thinks it has to do with the alarm in the car. I think it disables part of the alarm. For example: you can hit that button, leave your dog in the car and the dog will not set off the alarm.

I run 91 octane. Always have always will.

I know what you what you mean. My ride is over 2 years / damn near 50,000 miles and I still turn to catch a glimpse of her every time I walk away.
That button turns off the motion sensor in the alarm
