This is my quewtion to everyone tonight. I got a notice tonicht in the mail. Tom read it to me and it was something from Toyota that was advertising an extedned warranty. I think my mileage is around 26k or so. I know that lots of us have modded our rigs. I am wondering if it is even worth the effort.

What do you guys/gals tnhink?

They offered an extended warranty when I bought it and I passed. I am not much for paying for warranties. If I add up all the money I would have spent on warranties on everything from toasters to autos, what I saved will more than ppay for the things that actually break.

I have 50K on my pickup and the clutch throwout bearing just let go. For kicks I checked if it would have been covered, NOPE.

Kim, good luck on the Lasik! Just don't forget the follow-ups!

As you well know it's a straight forward procedure.

As for extended warranty, you're just betting against yourself!

If you insist on computing, turn down the monitor brightness, up the font size and put on a pair of reading glasses.

Morning folks. Now I can see again!!! The warranty info seems to be Toyota stuff. I was mainly wondering if they would even warrant a modded vehicle.

I have the extended warranty, I got it as a last resort, ie "just in case." I hope I never have to use it...

Congrats on the lasik! I want to have it done so bad, both my parents did it, and wouldn't change it for nothing!

I myself do not get extended warranties. Toyota builds a very solid vehicle and the chances that you will have issues are slim. I figure, I can fix it myself.

BTW Kim, I just got my new Glasses, blended lenses......Age is catching up to me!

Hey guys the eyes are fine now!! The bad thing though is we (hubby and I) went up to bed Wednesday night and proceeded to start the freezing to death flu bug blues! We had been lucky to dodge it all winter but it caught up with us now. Stayed home from work yesterday with T on the couch and myself on the hide a bed downstairs. I am feeling some better but T, poor thing, I think he has it worse than me. At least I have the 2 hour window or so on the Ibuprofen where I feel relatively OK.

I have never seen T miss 2 days of work in a row unless we were on vacation. I am actually thinking that I might want something to eat today! YEHAH!!!

I have got to get well quick. My wet o's came Wednesday for the back seats and they are just sitting here taunting me!

Thanks Nate! Dance to Buffet for me tomorrow! I am well on the recovery train. Poor T, though is not there yet. I am actually looking at these wet o's and going, hmmmm..... Do you feel up to that yet???? I think so but I am not going to push it.

On a lighter note, they have some real crap on TV during the day. I have to say though that my desire fix a grilled cheese sandwich got the best of me today. Man, they advertise those alot!
