Ping Eye 2 full set

Hey guys. I've got a full set, 2-PW of Ping Eye 2 golf clubs. These are the clubs that Phil Mickelson is currently in some hot water for using these wedges. They are kind of a hot commodity right now and as I don't play any more, I thought I'd offer them up to someone.

I'm planning on throwing them up on Ebay in a week or 2, but just wanted to offer them to my fellow FJ fam first. If anyone is interested, toss me a PM!

Pics and an asking price would be good.

Which clubs are they (referring to "black/red/orange" dot) to see if they'd fit me. Are they beryllium/copper? Got a ball park what you are expecting? Here is the reference I've used when buying other clubs before...

No offense, i have the zing berryllium/copper sw-3 and that site says its worth $131. You cant get the sand wedge for that much let alone the whole set. it is also a trade in value. he is selling not trading. those clubs are collectors items. if you can afford to keep them put them in the attic and forget they are there. i play mine every season and have for about 10 years. i spent $400 getting ping to reshaft them. well worth it. great clubs.
just my .02

Re: Ping Eye 2 full set

I have a set of Copper Ping Eye 2s that I have played with twice. 4 - SW.
I bought them on ebay about 5 years ago.
Great collectors item.
I'm hanging on to mine.
I would have to be offered quite a pretty penny to sell them right now.

While I don't debate the value in collecting such, it is only as valuable as the market will pay. It probably is a good time to try and take advantage of the recent publicity. Yet, most who would be interested already know about the issues with the Ping square groove clubs.

That sight audits ebay sales and gives more than just trade-in value. If one were to look on the right, it gives "the blue book of golf" clubs. Clicking on that gives the resale value.

I was only curious and gave the sight as a reference. I'm happy with my Vokey Oil Can wedges.

Good luck with selling them...

Eye-2's collectible? s t r e t c h
But I guess 'the eye of the beholder' is a phrase which comes to mind.

As for comparing your V wedges to a full set of irons. What's the comparison there? I have a full set of irons plus wedges. As do most people I hit with.

Seems like I'm reading a disjointed message. Must be me today. Sorry if I seem so confused.

Yeah, a bit disjointed. My reference is to the OP's reference that they are the club's "Phil is using". The alleged controversy that Phil was cheating by using the Ping square groove wedges.

Don't know that I compared my Vokeys to a full set, just happy with them as another reference point. I had a set of the Ping Eye 2's and like them, like the Vokeys better, there's the comparison.

Done hijacking the thread. Sorry to the OP and good luck again with your sale...

Re: Ping Eye 2 full set

if they are around 1993 ish they would be the most valuable as that was approx. date they outlawed the square groove clubs and the last year they made them in the square grooves.
