This is a great little radio for backpacking or in the rig. I've got the extended microphone pickle and this radio has been modded to allow for working in some of the racing frequencies used during races like the Baja1000.

The radio comes with one battery, the charger, a car charger, an extended microphone, the box with the user's manual etc. It has been modded to work on most of the race frequencies used in in many different races like the Baja1000 etc (the mod cost $20.00). It works excellent as an HT. Or you can add a dual band antennae to your rig and you have a mobile ham radio for your rig. This radio is only one season old and is in excellent shape.

I have this radio and love this radio...
man if I had 250 laying around I would be all over this for Disabled Explorers future use...great teaching radio for giving someone a taste of amateur radio....

Lookin at he 7R or a mobile?

I have a 6R, and a 7R and they are great radios. My 7R goes with me in the water on rescue missions all the time. Love that radio.

Lance, it's a great radio. I sold it to a friend today. PM Ollie, he's thinking about selling his Yaseu 170 2m radio. BTW, how's your trip planning going sir? How much money have you raised? Is there a main thread about your trip?

Funny you should ask about a main thread since I have posted up a number of threads here with little response....of well maybe when we show up at the Summit folks will get excited.
I will pm about the 2m HT as the more gear we can have on hand for testing/demo the better.
