WTF does the seam have to do with it?
That was my question to the service manager as well. He is stating that normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty however he would replace if it were a manufacturer defect. The rule for this is that the seat would have to be bulging, lumpy or tearing off from a seam for them to deem it warranty work. I then said to the service manager "poorly made seats I would assume fall under manufacturer defect as well and since I only have 18000 miles on the car wouldnt that be considered warranty work?" He said no.
