Re: Nor Cal Windshield Replacement...

I had mine changed by Bill at Autoglass Masters in San Jose. He did a great job and I highly recommend him. He also did the windshield in my wife's 100 series Land Cruiser. I'm going to have him replace the windshield in my FJC this summer again because I already have chips.

Re: Nor Cal Windshield Replacement...

I had Pat's Windshield Repair, in Solano County, fix my chip when I got it. He did an excellent job. It is very hard to see where the windshield got chipped.

Re: Nor Cal Windshield Replacement...

I have a fellow FJ'er here in Petaluma that is having their's replaced,(BIG CRACK) I'll let you all know how it goes. I know the price range can be huge so can people also include what they paid for either the repair or replacment. This is a great thread for nor cal, thanks for starting it,

Jim

Re: Nor Cal Windshield Replacement...

I just got a rock chip that bled all the way across the windshield this past weekend going to Tahoe. I think I'm gonna wait till the seasons over before I replace it but I'll be checking back here pretty often.

Re: Nor Cal Windshield Replacement...

I got a chip a few weeks ago, called my insurance (Safeco), they made an appointment with Safelite in Concord (2098 Market Street), and waived the deductable. They did the work in 10 minutes.
The next day I got another chip on 580, went back to Safelite cuz I was in the area. They (David Heller) did it no charge, no paperwork. Nice guy. The end.

X2 With Safelite in Concord...I used their mobile service twice for my old xB's windshield replacement...My FJ glass is already pitting everywhere, so a good chip and crack is on the way I'm sure...I'll be going with Safelite again for sure...Great service, very fast yet thorough, and really good prices
