Dash Lights On

OK so I get in the FJ this morning and strart her up and most of my dash light are on.

Check engine
VSC
VSC Trac
VSC off
and the slippery car picture

I made an appointment with the Dealership for Wednesday but I an curious as to what this means.. I have not been wheeling in about two weeks and she has seemed fine. It drove fine in to work today with all of the lights on but it seemed fine. anyone have any ideas??

Oh and if the mods could help me out and post this in the tech sections that would be helpful.. I cannot figure out how that is done..

Thanks for any feed back...

Now that is weird!!!!!

Its has been reaining up here for several days and it sat in oin the rain from like noon on sunday to monday.. Wow two in one day that is just weird...

But when I did call up the the dealership the lady asked me if I had come close to 45,000, which I am like 1000 miles shy of. SO i am wondering if this is something they do to make sure you freak out and call them.. (a stetch I know!)

I have a scanguage mounted to the FJ that provides the same diagnostics that the dealership would use and it shows "no message" which means that things are running OK as far as the rig is concerned. I suspect it might have something to do with a bad sensor. The lights popped on when I turned it on this morning, I've run it about 60 miles since then - no problem, and according to the scanguage, still no problem.

Re: Dash Lights On

RIght on !!! That is what I thought. Once the computer gets a trouble code from something it will keep that trouble code on untill its erased with the scanner.
Ok thanks up hill I feel alot better about driving it now..

WEll I am at the dealership and the guy said that it should be under covered but we will see. One nice thing about Toyota of Santa cruz is there is a couple of computers in the Scion area and they have internet access. So here I sit wait for my baby to get fixed, and surfing the web with my ipod in my ears.. Man I love technology !! I will let you all know how it turn out..

Very weird. Monday my car did the same thing. Same lights were on and I freaked. I pulled over and restarted my FJ... lights went away.

Very strange.

Re: Dash Lights On

Well the dealership said that some wire must have been chewed through by a mouse or something and that they have to remove the plenum to get to the wire and its going to be like 650 to fix!!! ARGGGGGGG!! and of course I have to come up with the money. I am going to call my insurance to se if anything is covered.. oh well at least its nothing that just broke.. I guess that what you get for living in the mountains ...
