A week earlier might work for me, I check.
That's the 29th/ 30th... 3 weeks away. If the dam landscapers can finish on time and not have to work that weekend, I might be able to swing it. Husband has been pretty flaky though.... decided he was too jet lagged to ski this weekend.

I just clued in on the "trail swag" bit..... fragrances??? Are y'all that stinky? I'd rather have some camping/ offroad swag! Steve would like some nicotine patches.

Re: Norcal and Socal M & G April 4-6

This is not a planning hijack at all, but the Trail Teams would need TIME --if-- they would do this event, so that is one consideration.

Barstow is completely on the SoCal side of the state and there is a SoCal Meet & Greet on March 18th.

Why don't we do a GOOD-BYE VooDooBrew party and let her pick the date and place.

As for swag and sponsors - you take what you can get. I'd prefer that everyone get camping gear too. Do you have contacts at Coleman that will give us 50 tents or stoves free? Or Buck to donate 100 knives (assume 2 people per FJC)

Who would the contact be for TT? Maureen? Yeah, I won't be going to Barstow. There's got to be more in it (for me, anyway), in terms of other things to see, places to stop along the way, etc. It's a long drive to all the suggested places from the Bay Area, and I've got a 3 year who will need stops. This would be more than 2 days for us!

I appreciate the bye-bye party thought. But I *will* be back! Unless we get transferred to a Mediterranean country, then I will be kissing CA goodbye.

I guess the sooner the better.... We are supposed to go in June, so May is going to be very stressful around the McLovin household.

Oh, and since the plan is the sell the FJ in Deutschland and buy another upon return, I will need to avoid trail damage.

Re: Norcal and Socal M & G April 4-6

This NorCal SoCal thing is being discussed in different threads. I just read that JDEMELLO is very interested in going but needs to plan this one ahead.

I vote that HE DECIDES when the meet shall be......but let's not give him the burden of planning it. If I'm reading it right, Jason might be interested in incorporating trail recovery training at this meet and I know NorCal wants a piece of this.

What do you say?

Anyone interested?

Are you referring to the Pismo get to gather? Is there a date for it yet? I wanted to come but I need to plan ahead.
