STOLEN 1987 Toyota 4Runner from ParknRide Vacaville

My 1987 Toyota 4Runner was stolen today from the Davis Street ParknRide in Vacaville. If anyone spots it anywhere in Norcal please let me know.

To say this thing was more than just my baby would be an understatement!

That just sucks! After all the work you've put into it too. There have been a rash of stolen 4Runners in the Sac area lately. I hope you get it back. Thieves suck!

Eyes are open in the East Bay. These "people" have no idea that these trucks are like offspring to us.

Unless they are chopping them up and parting them out quick then they probably have no idea how "unique" and recognizeable our trucks can be to us owners. Buddy of mine had his Chev pickup stolen .....He saw it two years later about 800miles from where we live. He went to the RCMP and had the truck checked out. It was his. He already had a payout thru insurance so the insurance company assumed possession and the RCMP took care of the rest. Funny though that even though it was a different color it still had so many things about it that he recognized almost immediately.....

I wish you luck man, but the problem with these kinds of vehicles being stolen in the Sac/Stockton area is that they are being stolen for someone in particular, usually overseas, and the escape is as close as the closest container and/or port.

Car thieves, generally speaking, are stupid, but usually aren't stupid enough to steal a heavily modified, aged, unique 4x4 without an audience to deliver it. In other words, I doubt some 16-year old banger took it for a joy ride.

I hope you get it back. I really do.

I'll keep my eyes open for you. I'm a CHP Officer and patrol the Vacaville/Dixon area.

I doubt someone stole it to ship it overseas. It was either done for a quick ride, or to strip some parts off. I think you'll probably get it back. Hopefully in one piece though.
