I'm in Colorado.. paid $360 for mine, and she's a beauty all over again. It almost seems that it livens my morale now that she looks like a newer car again. It was killing me having so much invested in her, still owing on her, and she looked so scratched up. Now she looks new again!
I am thinking about getting mine detailed before Ouray as well...nothing wrong with trying to keep a trail rig and daily driver looking nice. I wheel the piss out of mine but within a few days I have cleaned her back up and exposed all the new pinstriping.

I have no problem paying for detail, power polish etc. The guy who looks after my FJ does amazing work in less time then what I could do and his work is twice as good.
$300 is good deal.

I think i'm going to give this guy a call. My little Nissian truck has some pretty nasty water spots and has taken a toll on the paint. More than a simple hand wax will take care of.

I know the feeling. I get it every time I have it washed and really get revved up with a complete detail. It takes you from "I should trade/sell this old thing" to "I remember why I love this beautiful piece of machinery/artwork".

I am planning to sell the FJ. My neurosurgeon tells me the truck suspension is degenerating my neck even faster, so it's time to give it up for something cushier. The detailing is part of making it saleable for a top price. Sandi
HI Sandi,
You're post really got me thinking...
I initially injured my back four years ago, but the big re-injury happened because of Rubithon
(And I would not trade the experience for ANYTHING! )
So now I wear a major back brace when wheeling, but we may end up getting the cool/expensive suspension seating that Mark has wanted for so long. We'll do about anything that keeps me on the trails!
Mark will have to thank you later for validating this as a necessity!
