Trails in Shasta, Siskiyou counties

Curious to know if anyone in the NorCal group has discovered some nice trails to run in the Shasta and/or Siskiyou county areas. The FJ is bone stock, so I'm not really looking for terribly difficult trails, just some decent trails, kodak moments, points of interest, out of the lakes etc.

although i have yet to drive them, there are three easy trails listed in the Wells book: 1) Mt. Shasta Loop in Shasta County, 2) Shasta Bally Peak in Shasta County and 3) Bowerman Ridge in Trinity County.

i haven't been up in that area since the last time i visited Weed, but am hoping to check out these trails sometime next year. if you go, be sure to take some pics for us!

Check out the Chappie-Shasta OHV area near Lake Shasta, they have a nice web site and info. You need a permit to cross Shasta Dam and need to do it 72 hours in advance through BLM. Good luck, it's a beautiful area,
