Low Price OEM Windshield for FJ?

Hi Folks,

My FJ windshield was cracked by stone while driving home "Elk Grove" from Sunnyvale last Friday evening, so I will need a new one. Some places quoted between $400 to $800, but I found this shop (link below) they use OEM only because they don't want to fool around with that molding. They quoted me $228 out the door.

WOW thats the cheapest that I have heard of !! Maybe I will now have to get mine fixed..

Hi folks,

I paid $230 for my FJ new winshield today & the top molding still have a masking tape holding it. The windshield is made by PPG, they said PPG makes high quality glass. I have it done by LE MOBILE AUTO GLASS (408) 202-5634. They are not that looks professional like as some other mobile services, but they know how to safe that $200 top molding & to replace the FJ windshield, so I am 100% satisfy with the job & will absolutely use them again in the future.

Anyway, please disregard my original post that I got a quote from for $228, they ordered the glass for me but no longer have a tecnician who work on the FJ, so I decided to walk away.

Had a windshiled replacement done in San Luis Obispo, CA, for $230 with the caveat that I would pay for the top molding if it was broken.....it was not damaged in the replacement!

good deals up in Northern Cali...I paid 350 for mine about 6 months ago. They were able to reuse the moulding. The windshield was made by "Pilkington" and I was told is just as good if not better than OEM. No problems since.
