I received the following email from my dealer in Virginia this morning. Two items of particular note:

- 1 FJC still unclaimed at Haley Toyota
- New pricing is $3K over MSRP.

I have some REAL info for you today. Your FJ is being built in Japan as i type this!
It is scheduled to arrive in NY port from Japan the middle of this month. It will then be shipped to Baltimore and then go to us......We may receive it by the end of the month! Exact receiving date windows will be updated in a week or two by Toyota. I don't have a VIN# yet.

We have a real invoice! I will itemize the best i can. CALL me if you have questions. I had our super duper inventory controller add as much of the accessories on as the factory would allow. If there is something missing , we will have to order them from the parts dept , however i don't think we need to order much. This vehicle was truely custom built for you! A rare thing for Toyota sales.

We have 5 FJ's coming and i am seeing 4 already sold.

FYI...It's good that you ordered this vehicle very early.....I have been informed that the dealers are adding $3000 to the sticker price!!!! In other words...If somebody wants one now they will pay over sticker or no deal. Yours is MSRP as we discussed.

Can I ask what dealers are adding $3K to the sticker? I know that CAT is not looking too kind on this. We are at MSRP, as well as our sister stores in VA.

This is the only info I have...a reference to "some dealers". Because I already have one on allocation request at MSRP, I didn't ask him who was over MSRP.
