All my DC metro area peeps,

So far we have 24 people in our "unofficial" off-road club the FJBruisers. If you wanna join in our email loop, PM me.

We use this email loop to talk about FJC's, off-roading and trail get-togethers. We are based in the MD/DC/VA/PA/NJ/DE area running out of MD.

In your PM, please tell me your forum name, real name, email addy, location and vehicle description.

See ya,
Rip

Dues will be used for Rips beer money ! LOL I just ordered my wheels and tires , **** Cepek Fun Country 11's 285/75/16 and Ultra 50/51 wheels 16x8. Waiting for them is going to be as bad as waiting for the FJ. I hope they look good ! Just had to share.

Haven't dug through the flood of emails I have gotten from this group. Are there dues as mention above. How much & as asked above, what for? For those of us farther away we are not looking or likely to pay much to be a member. Would rather see things paid for on an event basis...

Again I haven't read all the minutes and emails so maybe there is a better explanation buried in there.

No amount of dues has been finalized yet. We spent a fair amount of time discussing dues at the first board meeting and a decision on dues will probably be made at the next board meeting. Ultimately, we have to decide what the membership will come with and if we are going to operate as a chapter of another parent organization (like TLCA). Operating under TLCA, for example, would necessitate paying dues to them as well, etc.

The objective will be to keep the dues very reasonable and to handle most costs on a per-event basis I think. Believe me, the concern over some members living farther away and still wanting to get their money's worth from dues was brought up. Again, no decisions have been made yet.

Re: FJBruisers (MD/DC/VA/WV/PA/NJ/DE etc)

Dues will more than likely stay at about $25 for the year... It seems fair enough.

Hopefully by the next board meeting we can have it all set up so we can start accepting dues.
