3/4 @ Leesburg, VA (Beaverdam Creek Reservoir)

All,

I am planning on scoping out Beaverdam Creek Reservoir in Leesburg, VA this coming Sunday (3/4).

The reservoir can be reached from Leesburg by heading south on Evergreen Mill Road (just off Route 15 south of Route 7). Then take a left onto Rt. 629 (Reservoir Road) and follow this road to the lake. See the attached JPG for a map.

I am not sure if wheeling is legal there, but Doug was stuck there last Saturday...

If you are interested in going, I plan on getting to the Reservoir at 10 a.m.

See ya in the mud,
Rip

Rip,

Here is a link to the topo map.

According to this report the reservoir is at least open to fishing.

The N.VA. Jeepers have a thread and seem to believe that wheeling there is illegal.

Re: 3/4 @ Leesburg, VA (Beaverdam Creek Reservoir)

We used party/camp/get stuck back there when I was in high school. Last year we tried to go there because we remembered the massive mud holes. On the way in right after going around the road block we were stopped by a cop in a SUV. He was cool to us and just explained the area is closed off and we were trespassing. We turned around and tried to find anything else back there but weren't able to find a way in.

If I'm back from Myrtle early enough on Sunday I'll roll out there.
