Smile Just got orders to Maine!

Coast Guard just sent me orders to South Portland Maine and the the wife and I couldn't be happier to start the trip up in June or July. Never been up in that neck of the woods and am looking forward to some chowder and lobster (to see how it stacks up to Alaskan King crab). Hope to touch base with some FJC members in the near future...anyone have a place to rent out?? Will need a garage for all the mod work and we do have a golden retriever too....

Good luck up there. You're going to love it. How long have you been a Costie and what duty do you have?

Re: Just got orders to Maine!

Maine is nice, the lobsters are the best in the world. Enjoy it up there, there are lots of trails. I used to live in Mass and would go to Maine at least 6 times a year.

Maine is beautiful. Don't jump in the water though! You'll look like a lobster if you do!

Gearys is the nectar of the gods. DL Geary is a very good friend of mine and a hell of a good guy.
