A word of caution to anyone travelling through Sunapee, NH.....there is a speed trap there.
I got pulled over last weekend in the FJ in one of those zones that goes from 50 to 30 in 2 feet. He got me right as I was slowing down at 47 mph with the gun mounted in the trees somewhere. I couldn't believe it as I really don't speed anymore (can't afford to in Mass where tickets stay on your license for 6 years and insurance is $$$).
Anyway, I told the cop to check my record and that I don't speed at all. He went back to the car, and came back 2 minutes later telling me I was all set. He actually was *really* nice.......I was impressed.

Re: Pulled Over in Sunapee, NH
Glad you got lucky with that guy. Some troopers have this sh1tty attitude that your "good" driving record is not because you are responsible and exercise good judgement, but rather just because you have not yet been caught.
Without getting overly political, I think traffic enforcement for speed is bs! Erratic or reckless driving should be policed, but speeding or excessive speed is IMO, relative to the situation. My driving record is pretty damn good too! I just hate seeing folks slam on their brakes just because they see a trooper, when they were already traveling below the speed limit anyway!
oh yeah I forgot to add that I said "I don't mean to question you, but wasn't the guy in front of me going a lot faster?" He responded that he was going 46 and I was going 47 (the guy was PULLING AWAY from me as I was slowing down).
Anyway....again I thought this guy was really nice and I think he appreciated my honesty....
but guess who had the NH plates and who had the Mass plates?
