I have purchased TRD about month ago and love everything about it but the stock stereo.
I need good installer to upgrade my system.
I already have all parts. Focal speakers, Focal Sub,
Xtent amp, pioneeer D3, backup camera......
Does anyone recommend good shop or know a person?

This installation did and did not go well. He came to me wanted to get several components installed for a very low price and I accepted it due to the fact that one of my installers said he wanted the job and he would do most of the work. I said ok and took the job.
He wanted Avic D3, XM Modulator, Rear Camera, Bluetooh, Navi, 2 Front door speakers with crossovers/tweeters, custom fab rear speakers, amplifier, subs, and alarm.
I installed the Avic D3, XM modulator, Rear Camera Bluetooth, Navi, Alarm, and Amplifier. The only thing out of all that, that did have a problem on my part was the alarm, because on of the grounding locations on the FJ was causing a problem and I fixed it. Also, when Black1105 (JASON HONG) dropped of his vehicle he added a last minute part to be installed (Window roll down Module). I did agree to have it done.
Everything was installed and looked good to my inspection and it was acceptable. So I decided to return the vehicle to Mr. Hong. Upon doing so, I had informed him that the Window Module couldn't be installed due to the fact that his previous installer cut the wires down to the bare end and the I would fix it later for him. He agreed to that. Then I also informed him that the INLINE FUSE that he provided was missing parts and the he should get it replaced immediately or else something may happen to the amplifier. He also aggreed and was fine with this.
Now down to the part where the other guy that I had helping with the installs messed up. He installed the front speakers with tweeters and told me that the CROSSOVERS (later to come up) were installed properly in the door panel and i checked the speaker and tweeter (one of which had a slight hole in it when Mr. Hong brought the vehicle to me) and closed everything up. He also installed the rear speaker custom into the rear panels and everything was perfect. Rear sounded almost perfect, no rattling no movement no nothing.
Mr. Hong calls me up the day after the installation and informs me that he doesn't like the sound of the speakers at all (after he was satisfied on delivery) I told him that I was booked the rest of the week because I had to finish Ben (FLYNDRIVE) and Justins (JFOOBAR) FJs before the MUDFling. They both had pretty big work orders which I completed and both are satisfied customers. So he calls me up very pissed off and angry after attempting to fix his fuse (which he did not provide properly) himself which I offered to do and gave him time to do so (which he didnt utilize). He installed the fuse improperly and caused a ground short which shorted his amp. He came over and I diagnosed it and told him what happened. Again he was pissed and started cursing at me and yelling infront of my house. Anyways Long story short he leaves upset and I tell him he can come back to get the rest of the stuff fixed and I will charge to reinstall a new amp that he messed up.
He calls me while im at the MudFling leaving me all sorts of threats on the phone I did not have service so he left a message. He was asking me about the crossover which he did not find in the door (I called my installer day and night trying to find out what happened) Later found out that he did not install the crossover thinking that it would sound better on the factory amplifier. I told him that you do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES do that again. I then met up with Mr. Hong and returned the crossovers to him.
I called Mr. Hong and told him that I would either fix his problem or reimburse him for the jobs left unsatified. I told him that I would pay him back what he charged me for the front and rear speakers. (rear speakers he says developed a rattle only after Mr. Hong tampered with them) Though, I still offered to repay him $200 which is what I charged him for his front and rear speaker installation. He does not accept and makes many threats that he is going to file criminal charges against me, posting on this thread, calling the BBB if I do not reimburse him $500 (how much I charged him for everything). I believe the offer I made was fair due to no mistake of my own but my installer and I am accepting his fault and want to repay Mr. Hong.
He will say that he gave me plenty of oppertunity to fix his vehicle but he has not. Those of you that know me on here know that I am very honest and keep the best business practice. I apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused. I want to fix it, but Mr. Hong is being very unreasonable.
He had given me one oppertunity to install his window module and I had taken him up on his offer to get that installed. We needed to pick up the wires from the store and on the way back from the store Mr. Hong was rear ended in an accident. Which caused an unforseen circumstance and He did not want to go on that day to my house to fix the mistake.
The installer that helped me with this vehicle will no longer help me at all. I also nolonger will be working from home. I am opening shop next week. I do honestly hope to still have the support and respect of the Members on this forum. I have a very good reputation on this site and will continue to serve the members on here with the best customer service and installation for an affordable price.
