What's up guys. Getting closer to buying and want to try to get some feedback from you as to what dealer you bought from, how were they during the sale and even more so, how is the service. Are their mechanics hacks who seem to damage your truck each time they touch it?
Were you able to negotiate the sticker price? If so, how much?
I am open to going to just about any dealer EXCEPT Atlantic Toyota! I wouldn't take a free FJ from them! I would never buy anything from any Atlantic owned dealership anywhere (Bad experience with my G). Anyway, please provide as much feedback as possible. At this point, I want to try to get an idea of what differences the 08 may have, but I am not that concerned. Judging from the 08 posts on here, no one knows for sure what's going on with them.
Thanks!

I don't know any dealership in NYC that I would recommend but STAY AWAY from LEE'S TOYOTA. UNPROFESSIONAL and STUPID!
I purchased mine from Competition out in Middle Island on Long Island. They were very straight up, no forced sells or upgrades. My sales person was Prescott Wayne, give him a call and see what you think.
I bought mine at New Rochelle Toyota. Great dealership. It was only 45 minutes from my home on Long Island. Very good experience dealing with these folks.
I got mine from Riverhead Toyota, I think that toyota dealership is by far the best one. The FJ was my 4 toyota from them, never had a problem with the sales people. I had to take my FJ for some rattling noise from the back seat and they fixed it no hassle. The sales person that I got the FJ from was a very nice girl, I think her name is EVA.
Let me know when you get it... so we Long Island FJ Owners could go off roading.
And how many of you are thinking of going to Ouray for the Summit?

Thanks guys! The only problem I am having now is that the reason for me getting the FJ, besides the fun factor, is to consolidate from 2 vehicles to 1 and the FJ is affordable........until you mod it. I figured a few little bolt ons and goodies...etc and now with what I have in mind, I am in the same boat I was in with my G35 coupe! LOL I easily spent 10K in my mind already on mods!
There better be some local spots to do a little wheeling!

I may have to check them out. I know Competition Infiniti has their act together and has gotten pretty good reviews from the guys on the G35 forums. I never really heard of anyone saying anything bad about them.
In my eyes, I don't mind paying a few hundred or so more if I am going to get better service.

ok i bought mine exactly one year ago when th etrucks had just come out and i still managed to get sticker price on it. i got it at bayridge toyota, they were the only ones that had what i wanted. millenium toyota is th edealewr i initially put a deposit down with and they had promissed sticker, but they lied about the trucks arrival date. so i would give bayridge a call. the salesman's name was angelo, if i can recall.
Bought mine at Competition Toyota in Middle Island in March 06. At the time they weren't interested in negotiating and I didn't care. Salesman was Joe. He just called me a couple of weeks ago to tell me it's been a year and wanted to know if I was still happy.
I couldn't get BFGs from them on my tire recall, but did get to swap Dunlops for the Duelers.
I've been using them for parts for my FJ40 for about 11 years swapping OEM stuff as I do repairs. Eric in parts is a good guy. We'll be trying to work out a discount for GCLC members this year.

Sorry about your experience at Atlantic Toyota. I have had my Tacoma and FJ serviced at Atlantic Toyota in Amityville. Have always had good service from them.
I dealt with a guy named David Moon in their sales department for my FJ purchase. He was pretty easy to work with. Ended up selling my Tacoma privately because they wouldn't give me what I wanted for her. Got a pretty loaded Titanium (had to wait 3 weeks for what I wanted) and they threw in rock rails and remote start to boot. I was happy with the whole transaction. I wouldn't get any offroad mods from them as they just send out to a third party who don't know anything about 4x4 mod installs.
Perhaps you just had a bad salesperson(s) deal with you in the past at Atlantic.
I am the same way with dealers. I would go back if I had a bad experience either.
