Re: Looking for compadres around Pittsburgh PA

another yuinzer here. though it feels like i only pay property taxes in pittsburgh lately. 250+ days a year on the road. sorry if this has been covered but i didn't read through all 11 pages of this thread and a quick search didn't return anything. i was wondering if any of you guys know a decent shop around pittsburgh (perferably north hills and carnberry areas) to get the lift and tires purchased (if the price is better than what i can get them for) and installed. I'd do it myself but don't have much free time. I called truckoutfitters and they said they don't carry toytec and cooper tires and won't install anything i bring in myself. I am pretty set on getting the toytec adjustable coilover conversion for my AT package FJ with OME 895 rear coils and the Cooper STT's. I've also sent a quote request to protrucks in Murrysville, but that's a bit too far of a drive and 22 is always a pain in the ass. There's Bigfoot shop out that way that i have contacted yet either.

Wow, someone who is on the road more than me. I'm "only" at 161 nights this year in a hotel room.

Baierl Toyota in Cranberry is very off-roader friendly for the install and work in general. Just order the lift and tires online. I would be surprised if you ever find a local shop that has better prices than what you can get on the net.

Re: Looking for compadres around Pittsburgh PA

First Try Engineering

Talk with Jeff at 1st try. He's between the airport and Robinson. I had him do quite a bit of work on my civic from welding, installing, to painting and his rates always beat anyone elses in the area.

I know he could do the spring install if you bring him the shocks & springs. He probably could do it pretty cheap.

He works on everything from muscle cars, imports, to trucks. Probably been two years since I've seen/talked to him (I'm no longer in Pittsburgh) but I'm sure he's still doing quite a bit of work.

Wow just looked at his website and he does mounting and balancing as well for a great rate. You can have your stuff shipped directly to his shop if you order online.
