Finally, the FJ has become available. I ordered my FJ today through Kay Jennings Toyota which is located in Springfield, Va. They gave me a price I could not pass up so I gave the down payment and my FJ should be in within the next few weeks.
I got the Titanium silver FJ with #2 package which consists of the 17 inch rims, upgraded speakers, roof rack (added), sub woofer, compass, temp, altimeter, brushed finish, and several other goodies. It's the 4x4 model 5-speed auto.
I test drove one from Lustine but their price was not worth the deal and they were rather annoying. However, I was VERY impressed with the FJ and can't wait until it comes in.
I race motorcycles in the CCS amateur class (Superbike/Supersport) and had to give up a race weekend to get the truck but to me it's worth it! Currently, I own a 96 landcruiser and my uncle has one of the original FJ's which he STILL drives daily through rough terrain down south since be bought it new back in the 70's!!! When I heard the new FJ was coming out I made it a point to get one.
I'll be selling my 96 landcruiser which I'll post up here once the time gets closer for my FJ. I've maintained it myself so it's a very solid vehicle but what else would you expect from the landcruiser.

I put my money down three weeks ago -- they placed the order ten days ago and they said they won't know when it will be shipped until May 1st -- good luck with your "couple of weeks" - although I do sincerely hope that's all you have to wait.

Yeah, they won't know the exact date for a couple of weeks so we'll see. Honestly, I have my landcruiser to sell so if it doesn't come in within the next few weeks it helps me since I would like to selll my landcruiser right around the time it comes in and I'd like to finish off all the maintenance prior to selling it. I think doing the fluids and going over the truck is the least I can do since I want the truck to go to a good buyer.
Kay seems to be good so far...I'll confirm that once the truck has been picked up but I bought my current Landcruiser from them and got a good deal. Now, Lustine...they were very annoying so I'm glad I'm not dealing with them.

Was this in Virginia or CA? The dealership I'm dealing with is from Springfield, VA!
I don't mind waiting as long as it's the FJ I ordered with the exact options and it better be in before the end of June since I cancelled my races.
If it comes in around July and I miss my races for nothing...I'll be very pissed!
