Well, I'm at a loss for where to post this. People from New England consider MD in the South, people from FL consider MD in the North......
Anyone have any suggestions for overnight trail ride opportunities? Paragon offers camping on site but I am wondering if there is a "long trail" that provides places to wheel, then camp, then wheel some more. All on trail.
Suggestions?
If not, where are you planning on taking your new FJ?

Well, probably about the closest thing to you that fits your "...places to wheel, then camp, then wheel some more. All on trail." description is going to be Tellico in North Carolina. Upper Tellico ORV area is located in the Nantahala National Forest. It consists basically of 12 trails ranging from "mild' to "wild". I have wheeled Tellico and it is one of my favorite places to wheel!

Paragon Adventure Park (PAP) in PA. (privately owned) opened a primitive camping area on their property Summer '05 but its not inside the parks trail system. They are very strict on all visitors being off and out of the park's trails at closing time. There is also an excellent camp ground about 10 minutes from the park called Red Ridge (info can be found on PAP's website) that offers inexpensive camping with full services like a bathroom facility including hot showers, sinks and real bathrooms. They are also extremely 4x4 group friendly and are used to handling large groups and can make arrangements to set an area aside if you call ahead and let them know your group is coming.
Rausch Creek is another PA privately owned park like PAP, but I would say 30 minutes south of PAP on Rt.81(?) making it closer if you are coming from MD. Rausch is another excellent park, generally much less crowded and if you call ahead and talk to Lynne (manager) arrangements can be made for on-site primitive camping. As with PAP, no night running of trails are allowed though.
Both parks offer trailer unloading/parking areas if you tow your trail rigs.
Both parks would be excellent places to get your new FJ Cruiser some trail time at. Personally if one is a novice wheeler/owner/driver, I would recommend Paragon as they have more beginner/bunny trials than Rausch that are also a bit wider cut and offer a variance of beginning levels that you really should not bang your new toy up on.
For more adventurous drivers, both parks offer multitude of awesome trails ranging from different levels of intermediate and advanced runs up to crazy-insane- hardcore buggy trails.

Best part of both those parks is that I love between them, less than 30 minutes away from both of them. =) Never been to either one though. If anyone wants to wheel/camp and wants some friendly faces, give me a shout. "friendly face" --->

I'm in Elizabethtown/ Hershey, PA, and go to Rausch and Paragon with my 94Discovery and some FJ80 guys. I'm pretty involved in Land Rover, (I have a shop specialising in Rovers) but I would be happy to go wheeling with anyone at either place almost anytime!
