sorry.. another question on the permit. do you have to go to the office in person to get the permit? if yes, do they do it on the same day? the reason i ask is because i live in brooklyn and would rather take 1 trip to do most of these things. thanks.

Yes, You get the permit right there.

Almost got all my stuff to get the permit. I should able to get the permit by this weekend. Still waiting for the toilet being back-ordered.

You dont need to have all the required items on hand to obtain the permit, You need the required items to use the permit! If memory serves me right you have until the last day of April to obtain the permit. Get the permit now and then gather all the required equipment after the fact. jmo

I got my state beach/fishing permit today. If you're going to Belmont State Park, take the Southern Parkway to exit 37N. (You'll see a brown and white sign on the parkway that says State Police headquarters.) As you exit, go north onto Belmont Ave. a short distance. The entrance is on your right. You'll see a rather large white old wooden building in a wooded area with a parking lot. Enter the building and turn to your right (following the sign that says "permits.")
