How we wheel on Long Island + 2 New suspensions + 10 new tires....
Just a few pics from the beach run today. Me and 4xFourd aka Glenn hit Democrats Point to "scope" some fishing areas! Weather was great....suspensions and rubber worked well for both of us! I believe Glenn has the OME set up on his rig. Looks great with the new ARB bumper!!!
Here we go:
A few hitchhikers I passed on the way:

Excuse the dirty....and not dirty in a good way BD. I haven't had a chance to polish the swirls out and give her a good sealant treatment yet.....then I will really get her dirty!

Those old DUKW's are pretty cool.....There is a guy near me that used one for doing river tours in a small tourist town....It was for sale last fall. We went and looked at it but it was REALLY rough....Still really cool.
Awesome pics by the way.

I believe that is a Army Corp of Engineers amphibious vehicle
I think they have more than 1 out here
First time I saw that thing was quite a few years ago.
The thing was in the water and heading for the beach
We had no idea what it was at first
We all thought it was some drunk or otherwise incapacitated persone about to run their boat aground.
As soon as it got closer we could see the wheels and watched it drive out of the ocean and onto the beach and then into the parking lot

I thought it was going to be raining but the sun was shining all day
I haven't quite figured out how to insert pics into a thread so I post all mine on my website so you can view them one at a time or use the slide show. You can also view the original from the camera. I take them at the largest size it lets me. They are large so no need to make bigger and lose quality. The program I use to make the web pages shrinks them so they do not take forever to view but makes a link to the original in case you want to see the larger version.
