Came back from vacation i see my front bumper is all tore up in my parking garage no less. I want to buy the warn front bumper, but i also want to know how much installation will cost...moneys a lil tight but im tired of these fakeasss plastic bumpers..and these careless drivers...
So sorry to hear that your bumper took a beating in the parking garage.
Installation of the Warn winch bumper could run you as little as $75 and as much as $250, depending upon who does it.
If you're a do-it-yourself-er, it's not a terribly difficult job to do. I installed my Warn bumper a little over a year ago, and it took about 3 hours total . . . . with the most difficult part being the weight of the Warn bumper itself.
Also, be advised that as nice of a winch bumper that the Warn is, Warn concedes that about one out of every ten FJ Cruisers have some fitment problems with the lower bracket mounting system. (I, myself, had to return my bumper to Warn for a refund and ended up going with a different manufacturer.)
Anyway, I'll go find some threads I wrote up about both the installation procedure and the fitment issues. Be right back . . . .
I'm east coast bound here in a few days... Monterey, CA to Red Bank, NJ in 50 hours or bust...
Seriously, though. I did my All-Pro bumper 5 times:
1. With a buddy and no winch
2. Removed to install winch (by myself)
3. Re-installed with winch (with a buddy, it was a little heavy)
4. Removed to get a new section powder coated
5. Re-installed by myself (I was in a hurry, but my back hurt for 2 days).
All 5 times were without any damage.
If you've got a buddy that can help you lift it, you can do it with about 5 tools and a set of directions in about 3 hours (4 if you're really slow). If you're strong, you can do it yourself.
otherwise, I could probably help you, depending on exactly where you live.
PM me if interested.
Again, a front bumper install is pretty simple, especially with directions and the myriad of photo-tutorials on this forum.
