Re: The Wave Back in OR....

Only one returned wave from a dude in Scappoose. Other than that, everyone just stares at me like I'm nuts!

Re: The Wave Back in OR....

I did get a wave from a Black Cherry last saturday near Barton. I was heading towards Eagle Creek, they were going the other way. Thats the first Black Cherry I've seen in the area, but I'm sure there are more. Seems the Portland area is thick with VooDoo's, they are everywhere.

Re: The Wave Back in OR....

I have gotten a few waves. The cars behind must think I am drunk since I am weaving around as I slow down, roll down the window and wave at the passing FJ. I have gotten a few waves back. It doesn't matter much if they do or don't wave back. Not everyone one is a proud FJ owner. However if I saw a FJCuriserForm sticker and didn't get a wave... it would be clobbering time.

Re: The Wave Back in OR....

Mixed bag from others half out the window waving like a drowning surfer to others oblivious on their cell phones. About 50/50 of a very small sample of four Eastside.

Re: The Wave Back in OR....

OK. I was coming down "A" street in Lake Oswego today about 1/2 mile down from Lower Boones Ferry - headed into LO. Hit that big open 5-way intersection. Here comes a Titanium FJ with a roof rack up the hill. We are both at the intersection. Traffic is light.

I hit the auto rolldown baby - this is it!! I stick my arm all the way out and start waving like a loon. Big guy in black glasses totally ignores me. My hand might as well be invisible. That is #19. At 20 I am going to look up Angry Andy for lessons on how to flip the bird.

This was at exactly 5:21pm today. - I actually looked at the time so I can start a log. My keep waving at 21 just so I can see how many rude SOBs there are in PDX.

I just had a thought - LOL - I'll put my new camera that has Mpeg video in my FJ and try to catch the next non-waving FJ owner on film and post him up!!

Re: The Wave Back in OR....

when im in town visiting family and friends ill be sure to wave.

there should be a secret wave/hand jive you could come up with.

i have gotten people not even in vehicles waving at me and giving me the thumbs up.

ive had people stop me and ask me what it is. and when i was getting my new wheels and tires put on, a guy asked me how i liked it and i responded with the usual i love it. then we got to talking some more while we were walking around it , and the guy all of a sudden says , thats not the new hummer , thats the new toyota thing , hats it called .LOL
i had to laugh he had been staring at it and looking at it for 5 minutes. then he hasked me how much it costs , and i love this question, i always ask them how much do you tihnk i paid. ive had a range of answers , from $50,000, to $30,000. when i tell them $26,000, the stop in there tracks and say no way.

so if anyone thinks your weird for waving at another fj, jsut tell them your so excited for al lthe money you saved.
