Reiter Trail Watch - Home
I unfortunately have my daughters 8th birthday party that afternoon so I won't make it this time (2.5 hr drive one way). However the more folks we can get up there the better as earlier this year Snohomish County approved this land for OHV use and has given the WA State DNR the go ahead to deem the property a State OHV Park. It has been an uphill battle that a lot of folks (before my time, I just started the fight) have fought the last few years to get it to this point. The biggest wins politically have come from the efforts of many off-road clubs keeping this property clean. WA State tree-huggers have managed to pull nearly 60% of OHV funding away from us over the last two fiscal bienniums for hiking and "naturalization" efforts. WE need to keep the pressure up with our legislators as well as show that State that the OHV community can assist in the maintenance efforts and costs of officially designating this Reiter OHV Park.
A couple years ago the Governor (she's not mine) was decided by a few hundred controversial votes, at that point everyone really felt that there vote did indeed count. You can impact our state and the off-road community and make an tremendous difference with your help cleaning up Reiter Trails this weekend.
I take personal interest in this property as my last name is Reiter (pronounced Righter), no it wasn’t my immediate family's property.
